Spermidine (124-20-9)

January 22, 2022

Spermidine is a polyamine compound that exists in ribosomes and living tissues and has various metabolic functions in living organisms. It was originally isolated from semen. Spermidine is known for inducing autophagy, the body’s cellular renewal and recycling process that slows down with age. Human supplementation with spermidine has been shown to support cognitive and heart health, promote hormonal balance, improve hair growth and fullness (including eyelashes and eyebrows), and strengthen nails. Epidemiological studies have shown that higher spermidine levels are associated with longer lifespan.
